Hey guys!!

Hello everybody! I'm Tyler and i'm new to this whole forum scene... I got my first beautiful snake about 6 months ago. He's a carpet python called Zion and he's absolutely amazing!! I've decided to get on here to share him all with the world and discuss a couple of problems i've had and getting advice from people with more experience than I have... the main one being controlling humidity!

Anyway... nice to meet you all and I look forward to hopefully becoming part of the nice little community you've got here

I'm having some trouble keeping it at a certain point so it varies a lot... But we had some problems with his last shed coming off in chunks rather than a single piece, which in turn caused him a but if a problem with the tip of his tail which i've luckily managed to get sorted now

Carpets in the uk tend to be clssed as having "no humidity requirements" as they require 40-60% which is basically what our normal humidity is anyway.

With mine i provided a large water bowl but did nothing else in terms of raising humidity andnhe shed fine every time

Re: Hey guys!!

Well i've been speaking to a friend who has kept snakes for years and he says the problem is the fact he climbs and sits on top of the heat lamp guard a lot, so i've fixed that up with some foil and card so he can't burn himself... I'll get some pictures of him and the set up i've got when I can
