Survey Results 2013/14
Sorry for the slight delay, work is getting in the way at the moment! I've started pulling the survey results out of the database, here is a selection of some of the results, a more interesting analysis will be on its way soon, along with the full file for anyone who is interested (not including the personal information, obviously)
Prize draw announcement will be coming soon
Below are basic pie charts of some of the results, no analysis as yet...

Re: Survey Results 2013/14
According to this the vast majority is a transient age group.

Re: Survey Results 2013/14
Formica, what was your sample size based off of? Were you only recruiting through snakes.com, or did you have a variety of other sources?

Re: Survey Results 2013/14
How many participants did you have? What sorts of "analysis" will you be doing? Just remember that correlation ≠ causation!

Re: Survey Results 2013/14
A couple of those results surprise me. I would not have guessed that 44% of the survey participants build their own enclosures.
Also a bit surprised that 25%!have tried bio active substrate.
Happy to see both that high.

Re: Survey Results 2013/14
All the results came via the internet, being an internet based survey, that does limit it significantly (note for eg that no one over 70 took part, and people with disabilities which prevent them using the internet or the entry form are also unintentionally excluded)
Survey was posted to several different forums, facebook & google groups/pages and 2 mailing lists
135 properly validated results...next year 1350 hopefuly
There are allot more questions to come, about half of them are above
not going to try to analyse to much, but for eg can show the differences between age group preferences, different preferences between those who build their own enclosures and those who dont...or maybe there arent many differences, dont know yet Its taken me some time to convert the answers from text into numerical form which can be compared properly, getting there!

Re: Survey Results 2013/14
it appears that google may be restricting the pie charts to only people with google accounts, is anyone able to see them and knows for sure they dont have an account with google?
will post them up again when I switch them to a better host
