Update on Remi (black milk snake)
Remi's doing well. Shedding and eating like a champ . I just weighed him and he's only 55g but my scale is also dying (it's super old) so...I'm not sure. He's still an absolute joy to handle, too!

Re: Update on Remi (black milk snake)
Nice! Do milks have the same feeding response as kings? As in will they sometimes mistake you for food ?

Nope, or not black milks, at least! He has a great feeding response...but only to actual food. It's very easy to get him out otherwise and he's never bitten anyone (my roommates have handled him as well).

My black milk calmly takes the prey without striking. Mine is easy as well and has started coming out onto my hands.

Mine strikes at the food, haha, but that's the only time he ever strikes. Although last time I fed him, he took the prey gently so maybe he's getting calmer about it.

Re: Update on Remi (black milk snake)
Last night I was returning Darth to his enclosure and he stretched out and started drinking water while still holding on to my hand. Pretty cool I thought!

Re: Update on Remi (black milk snake)
Remi ate two fuzzies today and I think he would have eaten a third if I let him! These guys have such big appetites!
