Christmas additions
Yesterday I got some awesome Christmas presents from a good friend. I finally had a chance to go up to his place to see all his snakes, and he gave me a Christmas Eve baby male C. insularis for my female.
I also got a stunning, 2-foot female WA Gaboon. I now have a viable pair and should be able to breed them next year!
Here's the new Gabby settling in:
Her future boyfriend, the handsome Darth Vader:

Re: Christmas additions
Thanks everyone. Shaun, yes the insularis will stay that color. My female is now about 2 feet long and very bright lemon. Their color is one of my favorite things about them.

Re: Christmas additions
Wow, those gaboons are gorgeous. But I'm in love with your C. insularis. Dibs on a baby, what do these sell for anyway; I've never seen one at a show. When do we get to see the albolabris?

Re: Christmas additions
Sublimeballs, babies are usually around $300. I haven't posted pics of the albolabris yet, because she's not feeding for me and I don't like to stress animals that are giving me problems. I'll try to remember to snap a few pics of her. She's also lightning fast and tries to escape constantly. She's honestly a massive pain in the keister!

Re: Christmas additions
The Gaboon viper is so beautiful!!!!!!! I am insanely jealous right now. They are seriously my favourite venomous snakes. I personally am too much of a wimp to own anything venomous. GORGEOUS snakes though!

I had a buddy who couldn't get his male to eat either. What are you feeding, pinky halves? Have you tried scenting prey?
Hmm, mine wasn't to bad about trying to escape when she was small. Trying to bite anything warm while in the cage is another story; but once on a snake stick she rides the stick really well. I hope she turns around for you these are awesome little crotalids.
