Gravid ATB....(More)

Last night and the night before I noticed that my #1 female ATB that has become very thickened in the last few weeks has started to climb about her cage. This is interesting because gravid ATB's generally don't do much moving around because of their girth when gravid. She'll sit with the lower third over one of tje perches in a "cork screw" fashion.

I'll try to get some pic's of her first chance I get. I wasn't expecting her litter for another month and a half or so but I may be wrong. Time will tell.

I've got a small pile of you guys on my waiting lists already. Any one that is on the waiting lists will get first shot at the Amazons of their choice. I have a feeling these guys won't last long considering the amount of interest out there!

I'm expecting two litters so there should be enough to go around after I've picked my "keeper's"

Well I didn't manage to get any good pic’s of her in the full "cork screw" position but here she is starting the climb up to the top perch. This female is so gravid that she's hasn't moved at all for the past two or three months other than do drink or adjust herself from the heat. Notice how dark she is in the pic! She's almost twice as dark as her normal coloration.

Please excuse the dirty cage! I try not to disturb my gravid females at all. I just spot clean during their gestation.
