great temporary hides for smaller Snakes or Reptiles
Just thought Id share this-
These make great temporary hides for smaller snakes or Reptiles, until they grow larger, no need to pay a lot of money for hides that your animal will grow out of, we all have seen them one time or another, they are made off %100 compressed paper and no harsh glues. They come in shipping containers such as TV's, Stereos, even Zilla and Zoo Med ships Terrariums and Vivariums in them, they are great as they are or you can coat them in cement or grout. I collect them and save them in a bag until I need them. All I do it cut the holes in the corners a little larger, my snakes love them.
Re: great temporary hides for smaller Snakes or Reptiles
As they are compressed paper do they soak up water in high humidity vivs?

I'm a big fan of the cardboard tube for small snakes. If you cut them in half, they make a nice hide. The whole tubes make great furniture for snakes to climb through. They're also disposable and readily available.
I also made a few hides from sections of bark I delicately removed from an a small long. They've worded pretty well, so far.

The Cardboard corners that I mention don't get moldy at all but you can remove and replace them and any paper product before they get moldy just like anything else, they aren't made to be permanent hence the word " Temporary".
