New and final addition! (I hope)
Got another animal. Hopefully my last one. Rare earth female storri , proven and just started breeding so no tired out breeder nonsense. She is a stunner purple hue/red sides like my male so I'm excited about that. I did pay a bit mroe than you would normally for a storri, but its 1000% worth it for a proven sexed female. Here she is

She is beautiful!
After a quick google search on the species, there are 2 subspecies V.s.ocreatus and V.s.storri? What kind do you have? And what is the average price that these guys go for?

Re: New and final addition! (I hope)
They are all mixed honestly. Most people here call what we have V. s. storri but they are all mixed. If you look at true yellow ackies and true red ackies wild caught. Not all true reds are bright red like people consider them to be and shun those which aren't red as 'not pure'. Supposedly the V.s.storri are supposed to be the brown ones, and the colorful ones are the ocreatus, but nobody bothers to label them as such because we just aren't sure lol If we go by color, my female that I have now would be the only V.s.storri and the rest would be ocreatus I guess.
Prices are jumping all over the place with all the of odatria. At the beginning of this year they were almost 900 a pop I think. A few years ago they are 3-400. Right now they are 5-600 for hatchlings. I paid 1200 for my unproven pair, and proven pairs are 1500 if they are in good condition and don't beat on eachother. Single proven females I've seen anywhere from 5-800 in the past month. Wish I had jumped on the two I saw for 500 in october lol

You got it mate. You can have the 'somewhat local and fellow ssnakess member' discount if they produce. I need to sell most of the first clutch to make back some of what I put into the project.

Re: New and final addition! (I hope)
Storri are the most infamous of the dwarfs for beating up and killing their cage mates. So I'm a bit hesitant to introduce another female but the killings aren't super common and if she doesn't get along I have another cage ready and I will just pair up the female that doesn't get along for breeding and separate again. Anyways, moral of the storri is a trio is as far as I would go with these. The 'look' in the photo really shows how 'female' her head looks haha

Re: New and final addition! (I hope)
Thanks guys. I'm hoping its the last one haha. I was planning to purchase a group of H.binoei (Parthenogenic monitor like geckos from Australia) but I couldn't locate any. Rare earth asked me if I was interested in some proven tristis, so I went to his facebook album and found the female storri instead. He took a few days to decide if he was going to sell her hahaha
Better IMO to get a trio than two pairs. Keep my focus in one area for now till I have some success I guess.
