The Guide to Honduran Milksnakes
I may be late getting on the band wagon, but my copy of the new book The Guide to Honduran Milk Snakes by Douglas Mong and James Tintle just arrived. WOW. what a fantastic book! It is a absolutely packed with beautiful photos of every morph imaginable (and then some) and loaded with great information. This book should become the bible for all Honduran Milk Snake fans. If you haven't yet sent your Christmas wish list to Santa, this would make a wonderful gift that will keep on giving for years to come. Just do a Google search on the title and you'll find where to order it from Coldblooded publishers. Just thought I'd share in case some Hondo fans out there have not heard of this book yet.

Re: The Guide to Honduran Milksnakes
Actually, the book only focuses on Honduran Milk snakes their history as imports, breeding history, genetics, husbandry, etc. It covers many of the ground-breaking breeders of Hondurans and list most of the major breeders with contact information in the back of the book.

Good to hear you got your copy Jim. What did you think of the "calico" story/pics? Made me want to cry!

Re: The Guide to Honduran Milksnakes
Right now I've got a snow honduran at the top of my wish list, I think they're really beautiful animals. Any good suggestions on where I mght find a nice one? The hypos and albinos are gorgeous too. Then I'll top off the collection with a high yellow carpet python. Just living the dream

Re: The Guide to Honduran Milksnakes
Yo Ziggy!
You don't see very many snows being produced annually. I'm not sure about this breeders rep but he has a really nice snow at a reasonable price.
kingsnake.com Classifieds: Hondurans 2013-Albino, Anerthrystic, Snow
Bhb has a couple too, however they want an extra $50 for the animal before shipping. Have you ever seen a opal or pearl? Awesome animals! Keep us posted man!

Thanks for the tip Rage. I saw that snow on kingsnake.com. I'm pretty sure a few of the guys here have used that breeder. Its definitely the best deal I've seen out there. I might just hold out til spring and see what I can find at the expo. I've never seen the opals or pearls but that sounds amazing. Gonna be on Google in a few minutes. Can't wait to share some good news. Be well.

Yes, I read that story in the book about the "calico" and I can't imagine how sick the breeder must have felt after losing his snakes that way. What a loss; not just to him, but to everyone who really enjoys Honduran Milk Snakes.

Re: The Guide to Honduran Milksnakes
Members,
Just got wind of this thread by the co-author Doug Mong. We really appreciate all the kind words we have been hearing about the book. Looks like you are enjoying your copies. Sorry to not be an active member but with the release of the Honduran book and working on another it has been really busy. For anyone reading this thread, you can purchase the book through Paypal at this link or send payment to the address in the link.( http://a.pgtb.me/31p0BQ ) Again we appreciate seeing people enjoying the years of work that it took to put this together.
Cheers,

As the other's have mentioned, it doesn't have specific info on Black milks, but you can definitely apply the husbandry and many other sections of the book to Black milks and the other subspecies as well.
cheers, ~Doug
