Snake hasn't left his hide in almost 2 weeks
I am a first time snake owner who just got a corn snake and in preparation I bought this god awful thing (its the All Living Things Reptile Bogwood from Petsmart, the forum won't let me post the link). A good week after his first feed he took shelter in the hollow tip of the tree at the very top. It has now been a week and a half and he has not come out of that tree. The only reason it's worrying me is that he used to be out every night exploring when we came home and then all of a sudden, nothing. I have confirmed that he is indeed in the tree, you can see him, if just barely, when you shine a light up there. Am I worrying over nothing? Or is there a chance he might be stuck Last night I left a pinkie mouse in the cage in hopes of luring him out. I woke up this morning and it was still there :/

I wouldn't worries. Check all your husbandry and make sure everything it ok. Make sure 3 sides of your enclosure are covered so he can feel secure while he is out roaming.
Some times it takes a bit for a snake to get comfortable with a new home, he may also be shed.

Im sure he isnt stuck but if he is a baby, you may wanna take him out and place him in a small area to eat before returning him,( ie deli cup or shoe box tote)... ony so he realizes the foods there next time. Can you upload pics of the set up and tree thing?

No need to directly start worrying. He has already eaten once, thats a very good sign.
But can you give some more information. Whats the temperature/humidity? Is he located in a high traffic spot (lots of people passing by, or other pets staring him down)?
Do you know when his last shed was?
If all of the above parameters are correct, I should be guessing he's going into shed. Try to see if his eyes are blue.

His temps go from 80 to 87 on his hot side and 70 to 80 on his cool (though with the weather now its usually like 73 to 76). I have only had him for just shy of 4 weeks now. When we got him, we left him alone for a week before his first feed. After his feed he hid for a day or two which i expected. Then he came out every night to explore. Then he hid again, but this time he never came out. That was a week and a half ago. I wouldn't call his spot high traffic. No on is home from 8 in the morning to 8 at night and we dont walk by him that often. No other pets. He hasn't shed for me yet and if that is indeed what he is doing now, i have no way to tell because he is so far in the tree hide thing.

His temps are Hot side 80 to 86, cool 70 to 76. Has never shed before.
Ok, so assuming he is fine, and the possibility is that he is in fact going into shed, how am I supposed to know? I can't see him well enough to tell. Is this literally just a waiting game? How long should I wait?
