Re: My new Tortoises
Quick update - Tank - the 2nd one - died a few days ago. It was my sons Tortoise. We don't know what happened - the night before he defecated, was crawling all over his tank, eating, and drinking.. He was found in the food dish

Re: My new Tortoises
Sorry to hear about that
Do you know what happened? Are they from the same place/were they in contact with each other? Do you have a good reptile vet in the area that you can take it to? It might be worth looking into in case it's something contagious.
Again, sorry to hear about your loss and I hope that Gypsy is OK.

Re: My new Tortoises
Lichjen, I sent you a PM.
Sorry for you loss. Can you describe your set-up: temps, humidity, substrate, etc.?
This same thing happened to me when I got my first baby redfoots: I got 3 juveniles, and the smallest one didn't make it after a month. Part of it was because I think the previous owner wasn't caring it well, but when I started things off, I wasn't going off the right care guides either.
