Re: Black Milk
Usually about 2 years depending on the genetics. Some from the same clutch can turn completely up to a year apart.

These were high on my wish list too Steve as I hear they're one of the larger milks. Just don't know if I want another all black snake.

Re: Black Milk
They are the perfect alternative to an Eastern Indigo if you can't afford one. VERY gentle, reaching 5-6 feet, and kept at room temperature. I provide no heat source at all.
Being from the mountains of Costa Rica and Panama, they are cool climate snakes. 72-76 degrees daytime temps are perfect. Can drop into the mid 60's at night - which my home never does.
Also, BIG hatchlings for a colubrid. This guy is a month and a half old, and would dwarf a Rat or King the same age.

That's interesting, I didn't know much about them. Very neat that you can keep them at room temp.

Re: Black Milk
I wish thered be a "morph" of black milksnakes that didn't go through the ontogenic change. I think black milksnake patterning is the best looking out of all milksnakes.
