first shed

I thought I would just let you know that thanks to the help and advice I was given by this forum,(as this is my first snake ever) that I raised the humidity and the temp a bit and the shed was perfect, I was thrilled as I have kept an eye on him and have checked him every few hours and this morning I was lucky enough to watch him shed it was brilliant to see the way he made the start by rubbing his nose on a piece of bark then went round the tank a couple of times with a funny sort of jerky slither and off it came all in one piece, well it was but when I went to pick it up he went over the top of it and broke it in the middle I checked to make sure that the eye caps came off and they did and also right down to the tip of his tail, it was great to watch, thanks for all help and advice given, it really helps a novice like me and gives me a bit of confidence..

Congrats on a sucessful first shed. There will be many more to come, and I am betting they will be from more than one cornsnake - they are addictive!

Congrats, I had a corn snake before, but.....um........it got kinda boring, no offense. He was an amelanistic corn.

Nice job. Cornsnake is a good starter snake. Good choice!
