Well, I tried!

I am used to photographing non-reptilian subjects... so please forgive me as I learn to try to capture the beauty that is the love of my snake life <3

Re: Well, I tried!

Thank you, Mikoh I have an old Canon Rebel XS, and these were taken with the stock 18-55mm lens.

Re: Well, I tried!

You must know your photography. I can't take pictures half as good as that. Is there a certain aperature/exposure/shutterspeed you like to use outdoors in natural sunlight?

Re: Well, I tried!

I've been glued to a camera since I was 5, but only recently was actually taught how to use the settings on my camera.. and man, did it make a HUGE difference in the quality of my photos!

Since I am still new to adjusting everything myself and don't have the auto-reaction for adjustments yet, I have quite a few, "Damn it, too dark!" and "Damn it, blown out!" outtakes in between good photos lol Next time I do an outdoor shoot, though, I'll make note of the settings I use

Re: Well, I tried!

Thanks so much everyone! I am still in awe every time I look at him... He's what I've wanted for so long, and he's even more amazing than I imagined a snake could be! <3
