Re: My new BRB

he just had his first swim, it was hilarious, as soon as he fell in the water he froze up, took him like a minute to figure out what to do, first he tried pulling himself back to shore with his tail then figured out it was much easier to just "swim"

I understand your frustration, but the forum imposes that rule to discourage spammers...and it really does help. Calling the rule dumb helps nobody.

Re: My new BRB

Congrats Deft, you made an excellent choice! Brazilians are amazing animals. Their first day they are very curious as they explore their new home...partly to see if they can find a hidden escape hole. ;-) I look forward to pictures of Apep as he goes through quarantine!

lol funny that you said that because that's exactly what he did, i have tree fern panels all along the back of my wall, he found a little hole that he started squirming into, i had to rip some off to get him out, after that i stuffed paper and rocks in the little holes so he won't be doing that again

Re: My new BRB

Very nice, hard to go wrong with a BRB! I like the cage as well, but I have always gone minimalistic with my enclosures which allows for easy cleaning.

Re: My new BRB

Nice catch!

I would add extra security on top of that...paper and rocks may move over time. Maybe tape cardboard over it from the outside, secured with tape? (And coated with tape on the cage side to prevent deterioration from humidity.)
