Eggs vs Live

I saw some recent baby posts and I got to thinking... I'm not educated in the ways of breeding snakes. I can do mammals. I can do any mammal from dogs to ferrets to humans to horses but the way of snakes and the eggs elude me.

So I was wondering about how boa breeding works. They're live born, so jus a sack, no shelled eggs, right? So, if there's not any eggs to worry about getting turned over is breeding boas and live birth snakes easier than egg laying snakes?

It's just a matter of curiosity striking at odd hours. Thanks

Like anything, there are still potential complications that can happen but I'd say for the most part that yes, breeding live birthers is easier. Not that I have a great deal of breeding experience yet.

Most pythons breed way easier than boas. Boas can court for months and copulate just as long and still not conceive.

Interesting input. What about colubrids? Didn't know snakes would flirt that long, lol. I didn't even know snakes would actually court... what does does snake courting even look like?

Do they catcall each other? 'Hey sssexy, I like that irredescence you've got' 'Those scales are hot, but they'd be hotter on the substrate'

I'm running on about an hour of sleep right now, forgive the lame cracked out attempt at comedy.
