Skydiving anyone?

I know this is a snake forum but I did the coolest thing of my life on the 29th..and it was skydiving! I just wanted to share on how cool of an experience it was to me, and wanted to know if anyone else has skydived or is going to in the future? I liked it so much I paid for another tandem in September and next season I have it paid for to get my AFF (Accelerated Free Fall) License! Here is a video of me jumping, this is one I slightly edited (just edited out the interviews they did of me) and put it to Radioactive by Imagine Dragons! Me Tandem Skydiving - YouTube

this is the one they did for me if you guys want to see it
Tandem Skydiving! - YouTube

I've attached my favorite pictures from jumping, I have 62 pics of it all! The place I went to was called Midwest Freefall in Michigan btw

awesome. i remember when my brother went skydiving. he said the scariest part was winding up in circles in the plane to gain altitude with the door open :P that would freak me out lol.

i went about a year ago and it was incredible; its amazing how many different sensations you go through in such a quick period (vertigo, fear, awe, excitement, floating....)

I cant wait to go again, good luck with your AFF course!

Love skydiving. I recommend it for anybody. Absolutely in love with it over here. Still only doing tandems. I'm not confident enough to try AFF. I really want to but I think I want to increase my strength before I try it.

It really isn't that scary! You really should, I feel like since I've gone I've been missing out on something so awesome in my life and now I'm doing it a lot! I'm going in September and then in October in Chicago! It will be fun

Love the pics, looks great! It was so fun and exhilarating to go, and I think AFF is totally for me! I've got the money and everything but season is coming to a close inOctober so I may just wait till spring so I can go all summer!

Thanks! I just can't get enough of it so I need my license, so much cheaper to jump once I have it haha

And TeaNinja, we had our door open for a bit, it got hot in there being in August..it was interesting to have it open to listen to the wind roar past it!

I like to think that I'm not scared of many things but falling helplessly to my death is one of them. You guys are crazy! Nice pic though.

As El-Ziggy said..we have a parachute for that lol but I mean skydiving is inherently dangerous so something could go wrong, but for as long as MidWest Freefall has been doing this, they only had an engine problem and people jumped early.

Re: Skydiving anyone?

I did AFF about 4 years ago but never got my A license. If you do complete AFF make SURE you get your 25 in for your A license or after a while you will loose it all and have to start over.

A couple months ago I decided to finish up and get my A license. Called a place local and they said you have to start over with a tandem jump. I told them to piss off I'm not paying to be strapped to a guy having several solo jumps under my belt. They just wanted the extra money.

Once I get taxed out on some more closer hobbies I'm going to go for broke and drop several grand on about 150 jumps and start wing suiting. The problem with all this is it is so damned expensive.
