Semi aquatic enclosure

I have seven snakes and have had them for years without issue I am just looking to spice up an enclosure or two and have seen some with tiny pools in it. I was wondering if anyone knew how to do that without putting up a glass divider. I want to do it for my hypo vanishing pattern tangerine Honduran milk snake. Can anyone kinda give me a step by step? I have an exo terra cage. I was thinking the exo terra turtle cliff for a filter, but i do not know how to separate the water and dry part.

Re: Semi aquatic enclosure

The TetraFauna filter seems decent and I would set something up so the substrate doesn't absorb all the water.

You could do some sort of ceramic or plastic thing for the water and paint it similar color to the substrate.

Re: Semi aquatic enclosure

The simplest thing to do is to use plexiglass

Other then that you gotta buy the stuff so that the water doesn't sit in your substrate.

Here's someone elses semi aquatic enclosure.

Re: Semi aquatic enclosure

You can get a substrate divider here and here.

I'm assuming gravel would work but hydroleca would be better

Re: Semi aquatic enclosure

I used Plexiglas and silicone. I used a propane torch to heat it for bends. Beware they do poop in the pool. I'll grab pics later.
