Hi, it`s an Asian Water monitor (Varanus salvator macromaculatus), also known as the Sumatran Water monitor, it`s just a juvenile by the looks of it. This subspecies can get to 270cm+.

haha no I am in Canada. But my parents live in Malaysia. I wish I could too!

That picture was taking 1km away from the ocean. I wish I was there to watch what it does.
