Identification?

This little guy is at a local pet rescue, any idea what he may be? Apparently he is 3-5 years old and 4.5 feet.

Re: Identification?

I would say nicaraguan boa. But I could be wrong.

Re: Identification?

I agree, my first thoughts were corn island boa, especially because he is smaller

Re: Identification?

How much larger do you think he'll get? I'm interested in him, but I'm not sure if I'm ready to commit to a snake over 6.5 ft at this time in my life.

If he turns out to be one of the three snakes korbin listed, you probably won't see that much more growth( maybe a few inches to a foot more)

Those snakes usually grow to 3-5 ft

To be honest I've never seen a corn island boa so orange like yours. Most of the ones I've seen we're pink and red

Re: Identification?

What would be a reasonable adoption fee to pay? I know this is a touchy subject, but I dont want to pay an absurd amount just because its a rescue facility.

I have no experiences with adopting an animal, I thought it was supposed to close to free no?

This is just an estimated average price of those three snakes, but on the market you can find one as low as 75$ to under 350$(I've personally never seen one more expensive than this).

I would pm Res on here and ask him. he runs a rescue.

I would offer to donate feeders or such but don't personally believe in giving much cash.
