She isn't shy, lights or no lights, camera no camera, and you can watch her as she scarfs it down. her brother is the same and I would have a video of him but my fiancee thought he was recording when he wasn't.
For all those that remember Burn and her head lump issue, its still sort of there, she just had her second shed with it and still hasn't missed a meal so I'm just leaving her be about it.
She has four hides, two you see and two on the other side, one normal one moist and her water bowl is in the middle more towards to heat. She just shed last night but the lighting doesn't do her justice.
Mine are not shy at all, on feeding day they are right at the doors waiting for dinner to be dangled in.

Mine are like Dave's, always eager and at the door, or at least with head and neck out the hide door watching for it. (Except for the ones in shed...but even they usually come around as soon as food appears by the hide door.)

My BRB has definitely become a lot shyer when it comes to taking meals. He used to come shooting out of his hide and eat it while he was out, but now he'll grab it, and drag it back inside his hide.
Mine have a insane feeding response. Hell my male missed the rat once an bit and wrapped himself. I had to intervene and force his mouth up to get hi to let go of himself.

Luckily i have never had to do that with Pedro, i can't imagine the task it would be to get him to release himself, at his size.

I have seen that several times. I just leave them alone and they eventually either swallow themselves and disappear ;-) or simply let go of themselves.
I had one that did that and managed to grab the rat with it's tail, was so funny, it looked like a balled up snake with a rattle
