sav only like his tank

I tried 2 times so far to let the sav out of his cage to roam because he's so comfortable with me feeding and playing with him in the cage, showing no fear at all, always curious. But everytime he is out of the cage he would become really scared and his at me(which never happens) and run away and just be really different. Once I manage to get him back in the cage he reverts to his usual self within a minute, chasing my tong around etc. I don't think I'll be letting him out again.

Anyone else observed this?

Re: sav only like his tank

I've left my GTP's enclosure open a few times to lure him out to clean things when I see that hes already roaming about, he gets to the edge and turns around...every time .
