Scared for my boa
My grandmother came to visit and so I decided to board the snakes at a local herp shop so she doesnt have to fear the house. The shop has watched our animals before and always does a great job; however, I noticed my female boa is acting strange. She doesnt grip to you, she just kinda slides off of everything. Her body weight is more than fine and she seems to be gaining weight rather than losing any. She also holds her head up a lot, and not like its an RI. When she is slithering around and she "bumps" into something it seems to surprise the hell out of her and she jerks back into an S coil. I CANNOT bring her home while my nana is here and I cannot afford for her to leave because we leave for europe soon and I wont see her for probably 2 years until we come back to the states. I am absolutely TERRIFIED for my snake. She was acting fine a few days ago when I went to go see her. But now she just acts all lethargic even though she is eating and the temps seem fine. My main fear is my male boa is in with her and IDK if he is safe or what. He acts like his normal ole self but I have asked them to separate them until I can get her to a vet on monday hopefully :/
What do I do? Is she ok? I think I may just cry if shes not.
