Re: what's up with the "grams" thing??
I use the metric system as I prefer it to the imperial... Being in OZ the whole country uses it anyway lol.
Scientific equations are also based on the metric system which makes it easier SI units of measurements..
As to the question why snakes are refered to in grams... simple the rest of the world uses it and being the interweb, we are all from different places. Metric being the predominant unit of measurements in the world, snakes = metric.

I can tell you how many cubic millimeters are in 7.473728 cubic meters by moving the decimal place.
Don't need any math because you're used to it right. So go ahead. I'm waiting for your exact numeric value without any math.

So you came up with. 417457.11 mm by moving the decimal point? Your amazing!

12 kg or kilograms is 12000 grams. With numbers over 1000grams or sometimes less you would just say in kg. 500 grams is 0.5kg. 1000grams 1kg. By the way, no matter how you say it, 26lbs or 12kg, we can all understand that you have one BIG snake--that is a concept that transcends measurement systems. pictures?

Mercury as an element is technically a metal... a litre of molten gold or lead would definitely weigh more than a kilo as well.

The difference between liquid mercury and molten gold is mercury is a liquid at room temp iirc while gold is not.
So back to our American friend trlling us how easy the metric system is...... Please explain to me how you got the answer to the sq mm question by just moving the decimal? This is twice you have given an example that is very fishy. Do you have any actual experience with metric?

It's not 417457.11 Where did you come up with that? It's 7473728000. Might want to check your math next time If you can count, you'll notice the decimal moved 9 places to the right.

Lol. I will give you that one. I was figuring out how many mm were in 7.473728 meters cubed not how many cubic mm were in 7.473728 cu m.
So the score stands 1-1. Your mother must be so proud! Your tied with the village idiot!
