Even with temps in the mid-50's to 60's it seems it died rather quickly. I'd imagine the boa would survive it, and get an RI before dying even over a few days (assuming it didn't have a meal still in its belly)...now if it got into the 30's or 40's, yeah, it could die overnight.

All musings aside, hopefully things will go better with the next snake. Definitely quarantine in a separate room, it's not enough to be in a different part of the room.

Okay, I'll look around and see what I can find. I'm sure as well that I'll be able to find it there. Amazon has a lot of stuff.
There was absolutely no signs of RI or any signs at off of declining health. He was fine one day and gone the next. I did find him on the cold side but it wouldn't have made a difference I don't think since the UTH was off.
Alright, glad I asked then. I'll monitor different rooms in my house and see which would best, temp wise.
