it totally made my day mate,picturing you so determined,you'd walk to the end of the earth,to find a wild snake.....
only for mother nature to deliver one straight to your door.....

That def. Looks like A coachwhip. I used to catch them all the time when I was younger. I live out by the white tank mountains and I love field herping out there. There really hard to get a decent picture of because of how fast they are, some of them have a really nasty Temper as well. Awesome find! Thanks for posting the pics!

He was very, very angry! Even when he wasn't trapped he was aggresively striking at me.

Yeah. I've only found one that didn't attempt to take my finger off, that was about 9 years ago.

I'm gonna go with coachwhip as well, notice how the pattern fades and disappears the further down the snake you get? Plus head structure and eye color is spot on.
