Re: Maverick.. BP colour change?

My spider is coming on up on two years old, not far along by any means but he is also getting white around the black marking. I really think its just something all snakes go through as they age, they are constantly growing so I like to believe they are always changing. Its probably something that is more noticeable in some more then others. But again I might be wrong, maybe he is het something, but I don't think you will ever truly know unless you track down his breeder and he keeps good records.

Re: Maverick.. BP colour change?

Odd thread because just last night I was looking at Stubbs and it seems the white stripes on his sides are thickening and going further up his side towards his back.

^^ I know right? I had the opportunity to talk to mykee about it and he said is a natural occurrence with normal phase BPs

who knew? Mav is a looker though I still may get my breeder friend to look at him just because of how unique he's becoming then again I am one proud mama

Re: Maverick.. BP colour change?

Pigment occasionally fades in BOs when they get older, especially in the areas you have ointed out called flames. It's nothing to worry about. Sometimes the colour fades in amny other areas as well, and its just a case of pigments changing or fading. As long as it isn;t scaring, you have nothing to be afraid of, infact its quite nice looking. That normal as far as I'm concerned has amazing colour, kudos! Caylan.S.
