Yeah that is pretty darn irresponsible. You can't just keep trading your snakes until you get one that doesn't get sick for a while.

When you get a ball, you cant just assume that it is going to cost $75 to buy, a few dollars a month for food, and then a tank and heating.....
You have to make sure that if something goes wrong that you can help it. If you can't pay for the vet bills, then try to find someone that can, and don't get another snake.

Like trevor said, buy yourself a fish or something. Then again, goldfish can be pricey. How about some superworms?

Any vet is better than no vet. I waited 2 hrs yesterday while my vet called all over easter Canada to find the answer to a question she didn't know. A vet doens't need to be a reptile vet to help. All vets have many different resouces at their disposal that they can and do use to solve problems.

Great, good luck. I still think you should go after the store for the bill. They sold you a sick snake, probably knowing it was sick too, they should pay to make it right.
Keep us posted,
Trevor

from the sounds of this i think you may need to grow up and learn to be responsible for your animals, you made the commitment by getting them so now do it

Question is, if he looked so ill in the store why did you buy him? I mean if you buy a sick animal you pretty much have to assume that you have alot of problems to address.
When you can see there are problems and you buy it anyway don't come crying to the people in the forums for cheap solutions because there aren't many of them. All you are going to get for advice is, "take him to the vet".

Don't chide us for giving good advice just because it isn't the advice you want to read .

Do you not have a vet for all your other pets?
