I would not take that advice if I were you. First off it is the B.C.I that is 7-12 feet(depending on the sex) I have worked with enuf of them to know to know, anacondas hit the 23-26 foot mark and it is not unheard of a B.C.C reaching 15 feet and it is more commen then you think (hip).

I was not going to anwser this but in the lack of better judgement I am going to post a retort to you.I have yet to see a Bci hit 12 feet(tape measurements are usally 2 feet less than what we think the snake's length is)As I had stated in my previous post B.c.c will hit 12 feet (15 could be possable but very rare) the average female true red tail in captivity is usally some were around 8-10 feet,Yes condas can get to 23- 26 feet but once again that would be the extreme outside of the spectrum one would encounter as a keeper 18-20 foot average being more the norm once again.
You (Chondro Pytho) tell someone not to take my advice and a couple of paragraphs later say I am not one of the pretend herpers. You also said (I have worked with enuf of them to know to know) When I see a statement like that I fully understand the situation. It would seem that you have to tell all of us here how much experence you have with snakes(boids), do you feel you have to convince us of how much knowledge you have? Or is it that you have to convince yourself of what you know? If you must know I started keeping snakes the year you were born,So that would give me a certian level of experence.Sorry but I think you should know that.
