Welcome, snakes are amazing animals to care for. Be careful though, it's addictive. You can't have just one... You should see if there is a reptile show or club in your area. Great way to meet people and see other reptiles. It's a great hobby, with a great community.

I am having trouble finding a store around here that has reptiles (other than Petco and Petsmart) I don't know if there are any shows or clubs around here...
