I find them very cool, their about the only snake that can adapt to us developing land. I refer to them as "junk" because people don't keep them as commonly. Like how garter snakes are viewed in the hobby. Nothing wrong with them but not pretty or exotic enough to breed in captivity for most hobbyists. I'm sure most persons first encounter with a snake was either a racer or garter.
