Thats what i think too Sylph. He is a proven breeder, born in 2013 and acquired by me in 2014. I think he is going to make some gorgeous hatchlings. Mom was brighter as a youngster but has browned out a bit. Still a pastel though. Thanks for the compliment.

Re: New 2014 Pastel het..

You're spoiling my plan "I'll breed only colubrids and won't buy anything that is not a colubrid"... with all those ball pics I just can't help myself!

Just keep posting a lot of pics and I'll be drooling and grumbling about how much I hate you, hahaha!

Re: New 2014 Pastel het..

I'll try to control myself then!

Out of curiosity how much did she weights (I mean the mother, pastel)? My 2014 female is only 700g, so I'm curious about yours, especially that I know that they should weight around 1500g (or so I was told). But then my female was really picky as a hatchling and even now she's more of a hit and miss than regural eater, so maybe she's just small one.

Control, the word of the day! Female pastel weighed 1968gms before being paired. I haven't weighed her recently but my huge normal female and her are the biggest girls in the rack. That is true, they should be 1500gms or heavier to start. I showed a picture of her locked with the pastel pied male months ago here on the forum. The date of that posting is 3/31/16 and the title was Pastel pied and het pastel pied in the breeding and incubation section of previous threads.

Re: New 2014 Pastel het..

Day #49 today and i am getting a bit excited about this clutch. All the eggs are intact with some dimpling but otherwise looking very healthy. Temps and humidity stable @ 88.3f and 99% respectively.
