Is this tub lid secure enough?

You can try securing the top with binder clips. I prefer weatherproof tubs with locks on all sides. Most of my snakes are in pvc enclosures now but these are the ones I use for my snakes that are in quarantine.

I use those as temporary tubs on cleaning days. They are freakin hardcore. No way a snake could get out of those.
