Retics are very slender compared to most other giants, they do tend to have a bit of personality to make up for it haha. Do not underestimate their strength obviously, when my purple retic was the same weight as my labyrinth burm.. The retic was definitely stronger... But a fully grown real SD isn't all that big so not all that strong either , (I keep saying real, because i have seen newborn mainlands or dwarves being sold as yearling SD's, which would be a very unpleasant surprise...) .. Also in character, they're unique, highly intelligent which is great! (This 'lill one is a bit of a bonehead though, the others are smarter haha) One of the foremost reasons i love retics.. Don't think you can easily trick them about which side the tank is going to open, they know.. Capture bred isn't all that bad, this little guy is very friendly (Very food driven, hook training is essential).. My current retics are all pretty ok to handle (My tiger is a thrasher, in and outside the terrarium), and are all successfully hook trained. 3 out of 4 will try to get me through the glass at night, that's how strong the food drive is. It's not an animal anyone should get, but it is a great addition for anyone willing to enjoy their strong personality!
