Reptile Vitamins?

I was looking around at procuring feeding and mentioned somewhere was reptile vitamins. Roll the mouse/ rat in them and serve. Is there anyone who can speak on using these? Just out of curiosity.

I've used Carnivore Care in the past. I didn't notice a difference but I probably didn't use it long enough. I used it as a supplement rather than a meal replacement. I was curious about it and my old roommate worked for the company that made it and he was using it with his snakes and he said he noticed accelerated growth. I think there's a snakebytes video about using it too.

Yeah. Found the snakebytes video. Some growth, but it seems to contribute more to the look of the scales in much the way our vitamins cause hair and fingernails to grow faster. And the scales looked prettier apparently.

Snakes get everything they need from the rodents they eat, vit. are not necessary.

I feed my snakes reptilinks(venison, rabbit) from time to time. They are more nutritionally dense per gram compared to mice and rats.

Not necessary, sure, but not harmful and can even be helpful. I see no reason not to.

Usual reptile vitamins are geared more towards lizards that are prone to metabolic bone disease or other deformities when raised without supplemental calcium. Never heard of Carnivore Care, though. Looks interesting. Looking at what's in it and the nutrient ratios it has, I wonder if it might benefit young snakes that are still growing? I can see why it would accelerate growth rates(boosted calories, protein, and fat) and improve skin quality(key vitamins and fatty acids). However I would be concerned that there may be something that could eventually lead to a cumulative overdose...none of the vitamins or minerals are particularly high, but there hasn't really been research done to identify target levels of these nutrients for snakes so we don't know what a healthy amount would be for them. If I can find reports of people who have used it for many years on many individuals that might set my mind at ease.
