Thumbs up Waiting for the pre lay shed 2010 albino 0.1

Looks like to me her color has brightened also. Fingers still crossed for this first time female. ( check out her baby picture on the avatar)

Re: Waiting for the pre lay shed 2010 albino 0.1

I got a question that has do to with breeding... I have produced off all my paired up crotalids but I have one female that seems to be ovulating? She is huge rite now
But has never been paired up. Last year Same thing
and she dropped a bunch of infertile eggs a few months later . So
My question is rite now she went form Normal size to huge, is it to late to pair her up?

If it's ovulation then yes. Too late.

Cool. All normal looking but carrying both genes so it's a fun 3 year project!

Well, that's only if the odds god wants it that way. Genetics is a forgiving science. Stranger things have happened. Her father was a het albino and mom was albino. Just hoping for healthy eggs.

That's cool. So normals and albinos. Should be a 50/50 split.

The thing really is if you are not sure about the ovulation it cant hurt to pair her up just in case. She could be huge because she is in the building phase. Remember that snakes have the ability to store sperm from season to season. I would pair up in the event she is in between building and ovulating. Good luck.

I missed the ovulations on both of my snakes that could have gone this year. I was still giving them food to pack on a little extra weight. :/ Oh well. An extra year won't hurt either of them.
