Exactly. I don't know how many times I've gone herping only to get home and see the animal I was looking for dead on facebook. But at least if the snake gets posted I've got a chance to educate someone, maybe next time they wont kill first and ask questions later. I don't like seeing pictures of dead snakes, but I'd rather see them than not see them. If that makes any sense lol.

I was out once and the only thing I found was a small garter snake and a tiny skink. As we were walking back to our car a jogger came by and showed us a picture on his phone of two bull snakes mating that he had taken on the trail about three miles away from us...

Tell me about it! We were hiking around for about two hours and he had seen them on his 30 minute jog... of course we went to the spot he mentioned and they were nowhere to be seen... Figures.
