I've never saw python eggs before. Are they always different Sizes, or are those the "slugs"?

In comparison to a average size chicken egg how big are those?

It seems to just be a "new mom" thing. It's been documented quite a bit in Burmese and Reticulated pythons.

That is fascinating. Colubrids do not seem to have the same issue. Last year I bred 4 virgin, female Honduran milksnakes that laid 1 "dud" out of almost 30 eggs.

It is possible that it's a result of people breeding the animals at too young of an age before they're ready, unfortunately it can be hard to tell sometimes as the animals can grow very quickly.
