Why don't you have a proper substrate? How can the snake burrow? There really should be a warm and a cold hide too. Do you manage to keep humidity up without substrate?

You're so called "proper substrate" is messy and unnecessary. That is the reason I bought the black landscaping sheet to give her something to hide under, plus once a week I can just take it out and throw it away like the newspaper. I did have two hides in the tub but she never used the cold hide so I took it out when I put the landscaping sheet in. Yes, the humidity is fine, she just finished shedding Friday(9/19/14) and shed in one piece, otherwise I would give her a larger water bowl, which I plan to do when she gets larger anyways.
