Question about lighting of enclosure

So I have a red tail boa and from what I understand their day/night cycles need to be accurate and maintained. I typically do a 12 hour on and 12 off schedule but being that the enclosure is in my room there is some light from a lamp that shines into the enclosure a bit. Is this a problem or is the residual light from the lamp fine.

Thanks

Re: Question about lighting of enclosure

Do you have any windows in your room that let natural light in? If so, your boa cage doesn't really need any lights. Light from your lamp is fine.
