Years ago i had a 4 ft Cottonmouth escape out of his cage... a buddy came over to feed him and forgot to put the lock back on the cage. I came home and went to use the restroom a week later and the snake was in my toilet looking up at me.
Wow, it's a good thing that didn't end worse for you!

That's kind of interesting that your snake was gone for that long! They're amazing!
Luckily, my snake can't get out of the cage I have her in. Good thing, as I have a cat and a dog! It's chances in the house without supervision are slim!
And wow, about the cotton mouth. I woulda' said. "Nope!" And hired someone to go in and fetch it for me! x) I admire you for keeping such a dangerous creature, but that really isn't my cup of tea. Haha.
I'm glad my little escapee's freedom riot only lasted 2 minutes.
