Red face Should I buy large hiding fixtures and water bowl for my milk snake to grow into?

I have a baby milk snake, and he's pretty tiny right now. In his 20 gallon long tank right now, I have a piece of drift wood, a small water bowl that he can curl up in, a small humid hide made from an empty plastic container i got meal worms in for my leopard gecko, and a couple other tiny homemade hiding places. I want to buy some stuff for his enclosure at the pet store, but I don't know if I should buy big stuff because he's going to end up being 2-3 ft long eventually, or to wait another year and then buy that stuff. Will he be uncomfortable if I get like a rock cave that would be huge compared to him? I'll also get a large water bowl that he can curl up in when he's full grown, but I definitely won't put that in until he's bigger. Should I buy a couple medium sized items for the next year or two, and then buy larger stuff later on?

Thanks for any input!
