Antibiotic reaction

Hi all,
I am new to the forum and I have a question.

Last week I took my RTB to a vet to start antibiotic treatment for a resp infection. Since then she has become lethargic and hasn't eaten. She is almost three years old and has never displayed this type of behavior.

Is this something that happens or should I be more concerned than I am currently. She has another appointment this morning with a stand in vet but I'm unsure if I should allow the treatment to continue.

Has anyone else seen this?

Thanks
Matt

Re: Antibiotic reaction

Switching or stopping meds can be a dangerous practice (unless the med or dosage is wrong). The behavior may due to the underlying illness rather than meds, and removing them could make it worse. It can also breed resistant strains of dangerous microbes. Check with the vet as you have planned, and good luck!
