Exclamation Asian forest scorpion

Does anybody have any info on the Asian forest scorpion? I rescued one from a friend of mine. His mom would let him keep it. Any info would help and thanks.

Re: Asian forest scorpion

Relative of the emperor scorpions -- sting will hurt like a bee sting, pain may last a couple days but not considered dangerous. More likely to use its pinchers -- and it can draw blood with them (they are formidable). Supplemental lighting is unnecessary as is supplemental heating unless your home is in the 60's or below. If heat is provided, do not use bottom heat. They like to burrow and have places to hide. Provide with a shallow water dish. Keep a portion of the media damp.
