Large christmas rubbermaids

The ones that marvelfreak uses. Really long ones, like 4 or 5 feet. 20$ at walmart here in the christmas section. I never see them so thought Id mention it. Oh and petsmart has 50% off 36x18 exoterras. I have a few potential projects Im looking into if I can locate themsince the tristis deal went sour. happy holidays if you celebrate this one :-P

Re: Large christmas rubbermaids

Haven't seen those around here yet, but I'll take a look again this weekend. Always a good thing to have around.

Re: Large christmas rubbermaids

I have also found them at Aldis grocery stores last year. They work great for just about any kind of snakes. I keep Argentina, Dumeril, BRB Boas in them along with Carpets, Bloods, Savu and White Lipped python in them. Lid colors range from red, green and white. I have heard of a clear lid for them but never have found one. At Wal-Mart they usually have them back in lawn and garden with the Christmas stuff. The insides measure 48'x 20"x 14"

Re: Large christmas rubbermaids

I picked up a couple of them about a month ago and they're working great so far. Heating them with 12" THG heat tape on a thermostat.

Re: Large christmas rubbermaids

I grabbed one today, I'm waiting to see if they go on sale. Even if they don't ill probably grab one or two more. I missed them last year, and waited to long the year before that(which was the first year I saw them).

Hey marvel, do you trust the locking top, or do you add another way to keep the top secure?

I trust the locking top. I have never had any snake escape One of this totes. That's what make this so great is the way the lid over laps and it's built so strong that even my two escape artist have never been able to get out.
