Re: Meet "Hades"
I actually got him from the same pet store my CRB was at...they don't usually carry tropical snakes, so had no idea how to care for them (or else they dont care)...this little guy is in a lot better shape than Iris was, but still dehydrate with retained eye caps...hoping they come off with this shed, he has been in 99% humidity for a week and a half now...I was looking for one online also, but temps would hinder if not eliminate shipping so I went and got this little guy...glad I did, he is a gorgeous red

Re: Meet "Hades"
Be careful of pet stores with species like rainbows. While this thread shows a good result, it does not always turn out that way, and stores rarely provide the level of records, pictures, and aftercare support that a private breeder can and will do. That said...good luck wherever you turn!

Guess who I JUST caught shedding! no progress pics, didn't wanna freak him out mid shed since he is still acclimating...but grabbed a couple quick after shots he went directly for his water dish, took a big drink and a swim...shed was all in 1 piece too!

Re: Meet "Hades"
I knew he was bright (I had seen him after his last shed in the store) but that was thru 2 layers of glass and about 3 feet away...I am thrilled he is this bright! Hoping to get good pics tomorrow sometime! Iris is going blue so her pics will have to wait...
