Meet satan
I was down at a reptile show and got this grumpy guy. He was the last thing I was expecting to buy but I'm glad I did. Bought it from a venemous snake breeder. That was his only non venemous snake at his table. He eats great and he is a 6 foot adult male

Re: Meet satan
Beautiful! Amazons are a great boa! One of the hardiest of the tree snakes IMO.

Not usually. But, every specimen can be different.
Arboreal snakes though are notoriously not keen to being handled. Tree snakes should be appreciated as the beautiful display animal that they are, and handled only rarely for enclosure cleaning.
Now, I've seen some ETB's and GTP's go totally against this norm and be complete puppy dogs while out being handled.

Re: Meet satan
My green tree was the second snake I got (after my ball python) I am STILL a chicken when it comes to being bit. Don't let that stop you. I made it a habit to have my hands in her viv not touching her. I just wanted her used to having my hands present. Then I started to touch her. My smallest amazon will let me touch her. The only one I don't attempt it with is my bigger red female.

Re: Meet satan
I know amazons and gtp's have large teeth relative to their size but how big are they in actuality?(compared to a full grown boa constrictor, ball pythons...etc)
