on another note you should always use tongs.. it doesn't matter if your "worried" about being bit you need to use them anyway.. you should not smell like mice and with your putting your hand in there with the mouse your snake will associate your hand with feeding then you won't be able to pick up your snake. I never touch mice.
Thanks. I have been hand feeding since I have first bought my king, never had a problem. I do have tongs that I do use occasionally, but I never had one problem feeding.

honestly just because your not having a problem right now doesn't mean you wont later.. i would deff suggest start using the tongs. it is the much safer option. and the proper way to feed

To be honest, I understand what you are saying. For a bigger snake, yes I would definitely use tongs. If I do get bit, it's not gunna be that bad. A corn snake wont do much, especially compared to a larger snake. I volunteered at this pet shop up in south bend, I had to feed the most vicious king they had. I picked it up, held it, and hand fed it. Not a problem. I understand its risky, but I know it's my fault if I get bit. I know people will disagree with me, I get it. You also have to think, all snakes are different. Also, this wasn't me hand feeding, it was my brother.
