New Beardie

I impulse "adopted" a beardie from a pet store... he was free because he was missing a few toes and had a nubby tail. They kept him in the back with a few other unsellable animals. They told me that they've had him for at least 3 months. I don't know much about beardies, except for the basics. I'm keeping him in a 20L tank with paper towels. He is quarantined away from my other reptiles as best as I can, I can only do so much with a 1 bedroom apartment. I have a few questions:

Is he any morph?
What is the best substrate?
And overall, does he look healthy?

Re: New Beardie

Congrats!! Cute lil guy. Not sure on the morph but he has some really nice oranges in him it looks like. I use tile for my beardie and it works great! Very easy to clean as well. Best of luck!

Just an update: Mr. Stump is acclimating very well, he's already noticeably larger and plumper!

Re: New Beardie

He looks good. I would take a sample of his poop to a vet for parasite testing. Apparently they are prone to it, which I had never known seeing as though they're captive-bred. See my post on pinworms!

Re: New Beardie

He actually looks very healthy especially for the conditions he was in-I would imagine they were not very good. I second taking a fecal sample to a vet to do a fecal float test. You can also do them yourself. If you would like more info on that I can give it to you. I do all of my own fecal tests.
