Question Disappearing Shed Mystery

My hypo Hog was looking cloudy and dull for the past few days and now his eyes are clear and he looks normal but there is no shed skin. Could he have eaten it or what happened? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Disappearing Shed Mystery

Snakes' eyes clear up for a period of time before they shed. You haven't seen a shed because he hasn't shed yet.

If that was a week or more ago you might need to up the R.H. In the enclosure.

Re: Disappearing Shed Mystery

i agree with everyone else, it probably hasnt actually shed its skin yet... HOWEVER! There is a blood python on this forum that HAS eaten her shed skin (at least once, not sure?), but that is the first ive ever heard of that. You'll probably notice the shed within the week.

They don't eat sheds.

Can we get a picture of the snake?

How many sheds do you need for your art piece? I've got like a million snakes shedding every week.

It's only been about six days since this has been posted, correct? It can take awhile. Don't worry about it too much.

Dang! You must have quite a lot of snakes to get sheds every week!

Re: Disappearing Shed Mystery

Are you able to put a large/shallow tupperware of water on the hot side?

Have had a couple with shed that took longer than normal in the past and when I offer a "pool" I often find them sitting in the drink for days.

Try that and if you see him sitting in it he should shed within a couple of days.
