Probably A Stupid Question But ...

I bought a 10 gallon Zilla Critter Cage to put my corn snake in and it says do not fill with water. I wanted to clean it out before I put him in there just to make sure there no traces of manufacturing stuff in there. Is it okay to just rinse it out with warm water? I don't know what else to do and I've heard that if it's not designed for water that it might leech chemicals into the tank. What do you guys recommend? I would really appreciate some help!

It means not to fill it with water. It isn't built to hold it but rinsing it will be fine.

The glass isn't made to the same strength as fish aquariums.

Okay cool, thanks for the reply. I just wanted to make sure. I'm more worried about the chemicals then the glass breaking. I heard something like the silicone they use could leech into the tank if it comes in contact with water because it's not made for that, etc.

Just called Zilla to be 100% sure. They said it is safe and the glass is just thinner and less silicone is used. Mods can delete this thread.

Why delete it? If someone else has the same question and uses the search function (which is rare and unlikely) then they will find the answer. Thats the whole point. Mods delete stupid threads with insults and no sense of direction, not reasonable questions regarding husbandry.

Lol. I've been posting a lot lately and I don't want to spam the forums. I guess it is a valid concern though.

Spam is computer generated advertising, is your name R2D2 and are you selling Zilla Critter Keepers? LOL. There are no stupid questions, only stupid answers.
